Las Vegas is Worth the Hassle

The biggest fear I have about visiting Las Vegas and meeting providers the old-fashioned way is the unpredictability of it all. With Las Vegas being the mecca for people like us, it’s hard not to feel drawn to Sin City. I know I’ll seriously regret it if I don’t visit at least once in my life. But with that desire comes concerns, especially when you hear or read about the risks that come with navigating the city’s scene. The video above proves my point perfectly.

Las Vegas, being as popular as it is, naturally attracts people looking to take advantage of others. Providers are a high commodity there, but with so many in the city, it can be hard to tell who’s a legitimate career companion and who’s just trying to scam you out of your rate. Then there are those providers who make a scene, stir up trouble, and manage to get away with whatever they can. So, is visiting Las Vegas worth it? Hell yes.

No disrespect to the guy in the video, but don’t be him. There are ways to navigate Las Vegas without losing your wallet (or your dignity) to someone who only pretends to care about your time. While the old-fashioned bar meet sounds enticing—it’s the OG way providers met clients, after all—it’s a huge gamble, especially if you’re not a local. And let’s not forget those “providers” being promoted on the Strip by people promising door-to-door service. A friend of mine tried that once, and let’s just say the woman who showed up was not the one he saw on the flyer.

When I eventually visit Las Vegas, I plan to stick to what I know and just enjoy myself. Directories, agencies, and independent companions are my sweet spot, and I’d be crazy to stray from it. Hope the Las Vegas locals and tourist can chime in on this.
