I looked a bit into it and stumbled upon two hotels where you should not need a keycard for the elevator.
First one is the
Venetian hotel, second one is `
The Tropicana´
Well, yes and no on the Venetian. You don’t need a key card for the elevator to work. BUT you need a key card to get to the elevator. This goes for the Palazzo too, which it’s connected to. The whole resort is billed as a hotel where “every room is a suite”, meaning by that they’re all very nice rooms regardless of what level you pay for. BUT, all the rooms are key card accessible (there’s also an app you can download and scan in place of a key card). Furthermore, to get to the hallway that has the elevators which will take you to the rooms you have to pass by a “doorman” who is sitting in front of a little key card button at which you HAVE to scan your key card (or the app) before he’ll let you pass into the hallway to get to the elevator to go up to your room. So, you have to scan your key card to get to the elevator. The elevator doesn’t require a key card. But you technically need a key card to use the elevator because you won’t get to the elevator without the card.
All that being said, this is my favorite place to stay in Vegas. You just have to go downstairs to the casino, which is right in front of the hallways I’m talking about, meet your date, and then take her up to your room with you. I’ve never had an issue. I’ve spent a week in Vegas before, gone up to my room with a different woman every night, and never had any issues. For that matter i couldn’t even tell you if the “doorman” was the same guy from one night to the next and there are times when a ton of people are heading to their rooms at once. So it’s not like you’re gonna be questioned and scanned before being allowed to your room anyway. They don’t care. You’ve got a key card? You’ve paid to be here? Have a good night, Chief.
If you’re fine not staying in a “resort” and just want a regular hotel there are a few Marriot properties like right off the strip (you can literally see them near the stadium from any of the resorts) which don’t require key cards for elevators or extra security, etc. I stayed at one for a cousins birthday trip earlier this year. They’re fine. Again, right by the strip, 3-5 minute drive to the strip depending on traffic, had a few girls meet me there over the course of a long weekend. And it’s just like any other Marriot hotel.
