Key Card? Still No Problem

With the number of key card hotels still being used by providers, it seems another thread needs to be made. With how many providers I’ve seen while Exxxotica is in town, they still seem to use hotels where a key card is required for every step you take to a certain extent, anyway. It’s not their fault; with the prices of hotel rooms per night, you have to take what you can get. Since cost is a problem, I thought we could help each other out with the best ways to stay invisible in these key card hotels again, to a certain extent.

There are always ways to get in and out of a hotel without being seen whether it’s lax security, minimal cameras, or using the hotel’s structure to your advantage. The last couple of days, I’ve had to move through hotel lobbies like James Bond waiting for the next woman I was going to meet. Though I enjoy the game before the fun, not everyone is like me. Doing too much before seeing your provider can make a client more nervous, which in turn makes them stand out even more to the hotel staff the exact opposite of what we want. We can’t control how a client feels in that moment, but we can help each other understand how to move through these hotels with some grace, so to speak.

For instance, take The Shelburne Sonesta Hotel on 37th and Lexington. This place has been known to require a key card for a while now, even though it used to be such a great spot to see providers before that rule was introduced. With key cards now enforced, it’s tougher to move through the hotel but not impossible.

If you walk into the hotel and make a right, you’ll pass right by the front desk. Once you walk down the ramp on the right, the elevators will be directly ahead. If you’re lucky, you’ll have someone else with you when you enter the elevator so they can use their key card to activate access to the floors. If not, you’re still far enough from any prying eyes for the provider to meet you downstairs and take you up seamlessly. There’s really no need for any James Bond theatrics here.

Key card hotels aren’t going anywhere, and neither are providers who use them. It’s just part of the game now. The best we can do is adapt, share what works, and make things smoother for everyone involved. A little planning goes a long way knowing the layout, keeping calm, and not overthinking it. Because in the end, the less attention you draw, the better the experience will be for both sides.
