GiUu283WMAA90UN.jpgFinding out the reason why one of your favorite adult actresses isn’t shooting B/G anymore makes you think. I wondered why, which sent me down the rabbit hole that is my always-on-alert mind. It helped me realize just how much power we have in the hobby—as clients and as fans. It made me think: if we’re keeping these women from shooting certain scenes, it’s possible we could be keeping them from providing as well.

I happened to come across a small blurb on LADbible. It featured adult hall-of-fame actress Julia Ann and the reason she no longer does B/G scenes. This came from Julia appearing on Holly Randall’s podcast years ago. She let her fans know that the reason she stepped away from those kinds of scenes is, basically, because of us. Her exact words were:
"As a woman who was getting older and one who hates the gym, I was finding that I couldn’t control where my fat was going in a scene with guys."

That hit me. It reflects how much we as fans might be too particular about the women we enjoy from afar.

With Julia no longer shooting B/G scenes, she now only does G/G—and only for her personal content, which she creates with both big and small names. The scenes are exactly what you’d expect from an adult actress of Julia’s caliber—maybe even more so now that she has the creative freedom to do what she wants.

I’m trying to thoroughly see this from a woman’s point of view—especially a woman with such a large following like Julia. As a fan and client, I know we can idolize these women without realizing how much sway we may have over the decisions they make. Those little questions we see in their social media comments—like what boob size they should get, or if they need a BBL—might seem harmless. But in reality, they mean more than we know. Before this, I really didn’t think our opinions held that much weight. I guess I was wrong.

From my point of view—and this is just my opinion—Julia surpassed all of that. To leave that part of her career behind purely because of how her fans might look at her takes courage. The idea of what we think of Julia matters so much to her that she’d rather not deal with the hassle. She knows her body, just like she knows her fans, and some of us would judge her for how her body looks. She’s right. We do that—often. Whether consciously or not, we judge appearance as it changes. But the real ones would have understood. They’d understand that time comes for all of us, and with that comes inevitable changes. Some fans would have understood. And as clients, more of us would have understood.

I heard Julia provided back in the day. I’d say it’s safe to assume that at least part of the reason she stopped was because she truly cared what we thought of her. I don’t think Julia realizes how many of us don’t care about how she looks now. I mean, if you look at her today, she’s still incredibly beautiful—even with age showing. Did she gain a few extra pounds? Sure. But that comes with age. And as much as people try to stop it, some things just can’t be completely prevented.

Julia Ann stepping away from B/G scenes—and possibly from providing altogether—wasn’t just a personal decision. It was a quiet response to a culture we’ve all had a hand in shaping. Whether through comments, silent expectations, or unrealistic standards, we’ve made it harder for legends like her to age in peace while still feeling valued. And that’s on us. Maybe it’s time we rethink how we support the women we admire—not just when they’re at their peak, but as they evolve. Because if we truly respect them, then we owe them more than praise for what they used to be—we owe them space to be who they are now.
