I was watching a podcast clip featuring the late Kevin Samuels and he explained how bringing an escort to a work event not only boosted his career but made people with power acknowledge him. Who would have thought having an escort on your arm carried so much weight.

Depends on the function. I certainly wouldn't bring one unless I'm absolutely sure of the situation. I've attended retreats and functions that are implicitly "no WAGS" and everyone brought a sb or an escort. I don't know about it boosting anyone's profile realistically (or weight as you put it), it's more like hey you're part of the lifestyle so we are more comfortable with trusting you. It's basically like sharing a hobby.
