How NOT to text a provider (WHAT is this??)

I recently came across a provider’s account on X, a woman named Amy Taylor, who shared some truly… interesting messages she’s received from “potential clients”.
The screenshots she posted are both baffling and, in a way, a bit disturbing. Calling these people “clients” feels off—you’ll see why in the screenshots below.

I’ve reached out to providers before, but I’ve never sent anything remotely like this. Sure, I’ve had my moments, maybe sent the occasional “Hey baby, wanna rock ‘n’ roll?” after a few drinks, but that’s about as adventurous as I’ve been. Compared to what Amy shared, my messages are practically formal. Some of the messages she gets go beyond quirky or funny and make you wonder what these people are thinking.

Honestly, it leaves me questioning if the people who send these types of messages are even real, or if they’re just trolling for attention. Do they think this is how people actually communicate, or is it some kind of joke to them? It’s hard to imagine anyone sincerely thinking these messages are appealing.

For those curious, you can check out the tweets yourself—they’re right on Amy’s account on X. It’s fascinating, though, to see the sheer variety of interactions providers have to navigate, and it makes you think about the wild mix of people they must encounter on a daily basis. It’s eye-opening, to say the least.
