You guys have to forgive me for bumping this thread. When it first came up I didn't have time to get into it so I didn't even read it. But now since I may be heading into hobby retirement soon I decided to say my piece.
TLDR==>> 1) Of course women get to say who they sleep with, nobody is arguing that point. 2) Excluding AAs is suspect and prejudice even if it's not exactly racist. 3) Every person has the right to exclude anybody for any reason with or without explanation. 4) Everybody has the right to their draw conclusions based on evidence. 5) It's a little too easy for non AAs to call AAs butthurt when they're the group most often excluded.
Okay here I go lol
To start, nobody here (or anywhere I've ever seen) is insisting providers or pornstars be forced to have sex with anybody. That's a lame straw man argument. Let's get it out of the way==>> When it comes to escorting or shooting porn, these women don't owe us a thing. They owe us nothing. Not their bodies. Not their time. Not their explanations. Not even their respect.
The issue boils down to simple ingrained prejudice. Let me be clear though, I'm saying prejudice (as in PRE-JUDGE) not necessarily racism. Yes there is a difference (racism is about superiority, not merely pre judgments). There are negative stereotypes we all know about that are so deep in our minds that we're not always even honest with ourselves about them. These woman are just as weak as the rest of us.
The "bad experience" excuse is a good example. If a woman has a really bad experience with a white client, what are the chances she'll decide it's just too traumatic or risky to see any white people? Pretty much zero. If anything she'll just quit escorting altogether. But NEVER EVER do we see women refusing to see white men only, even though we know some white men have done the same terrible things some black men have done.
Why a double standard? Because white guys are usually not prejudged negatively while other guys are. Simple as that. Like it or not. Admit it or not. Like certain political commentators have said, facts don't care about our feelings.
Whenever I've made arguments like this to white people, they've usually admitted they'd never thought of it like that. It's awfully rich to tell black guys basically to "get over it" when you know (probably with out ever even having thought about it) that you'll never be in the excluded group. And if you are it won't be for a negative reason.
The "preference" argument is just as weak. Sure everyone has preferences. BUT 1) We all violate mere preferences on a regular basis (you prefer redheads but your gf is a brunette), especially when it's our job. 2) Our preferences are often, but not always, rooted in something negative, like trauma or insecurity or *wait for it* negative stereotypes, and this is stuff we should all try to evolve away from (not make excuses for). Either way if a woman's racial preference is so strong she doesn't even have to see you to know you're unworthy, she has pre judged you. It's her right to do so.
These women have the right to be as prejudiced as they want. They're free to be full flaming racist if they feel like it. What's more they don't owe any of us any explanation for their choices. I'll say it again==>>They owe us nothing. Not their bodies. Not their time. Not their explanations. Not even their respect. It would be nice if they would be honest about it though. That's part of what's so annoying, people refusing to acknowledge the apparent truth.
And you wanna know something else? All of us, white, black, and everything else, have the right to call out BS when we smell it. All of us have the right to reach a conclusion based on the evidence we can see (though YES it's irresponsible not to get the facts first, I'm assuming we're responsible here lol). To be fair sometimes we really don't have the full story, they don't owe us all the details. But like I said we can conclude based on what's available. If the provider in question wants to clear the record she can say her piece. Then we can call it BS if that's legit still what it is.
This area is really frustrating to me because I've always had a really diverse friends and family group. I've seen this trash mindset have serious consequences. Just so everyone understands, I know porn and escorts aren't the most serious areas. But the same myopia and lazy thinking that screws up more serious stuff stirs up stuff here too. I have to call it out when I see it, I cant help myself lol.
Again the point isn't to force women to have sex with men they already judged to be untouchable. The point also isn't to let black men be butthurt when "there are plenty of other girls" either. The point is to get people to see the real truth and acknowledge it. Then maybe some hearts and minds will change. Now everybody have a great weekend!
