The shit you learn while just living life. Playing it safe in the hobby is a notion I make sure is something we all know to do. Whether it means playing it safe with your health or just booking a provider, it all comes from being as safe as you can while doing what we do. Well, it seems as if this goes double for the people you book with, as not everyone can be trusted. I don’t think we think about this all too much since we have people like TA to rely on, but there are some bookers we do have to worry about.
Supposedly, the owner of Foxxx Modeling, Chris Cane, is a booker. This is all news to me, as I’ve heard plenty of names in the PS world, but none of them was Chris. Come to think of it, that could be the point. Anyway, Jessica Starling has always been known to be outspoken about many things in the industry, not giving anyone special treatment or an inch, and she’s doing just that with Chris. There have been rumors about Chris, as well as this story mentioned in the screenshot, multiple times over the years. Like most stories in the industry, people chose to ignore it or just don’t give it any weight. Although, I don’t believe this is one people will be able to ignore.
Not only is Jessica accusing Chris of trafficking, but also of putting unsuspecting women in harm’s way. Supposedly, Chris is finding young women wanting to be in mainstream, promising this while also sending them to clients to provide PSE. Whether the women know they’re seeing clients or producers is unknown, but the catalyst of this is stemming from the women looking to be adult actresses and not escorts. As much as we talk about them in this community, we know there is a difference between the two, and not giving the model the option to pick between the professions isn’t in good taste whatsoever.
I’ve already spoken on what consensual SW is. Coming straight from providers’ mouths, it’s the choice to be a SWer, whether that’s through shooting on camera or providing. The SWer is voluntarily offering their services for what they’re comfortable with. Telling a SWer one thing while it actually being another can be seen as non-consensual SW.

I don’t know if what Jessica is saying is true or not. We are only hearing this from Jessica’s standpoint. Supposedly, the late August Ames was also one of Chris’s victims. August was originally from Canada; Chris brought her to the States. What happened in between you can read in the screenshot, but this does bring some things into light. Still, if what Jessica put here is true, then I’m sure others who have been abused and misled by Chris will also come forward.
As a client looking in on this, I would be very cautious. I’ve always booked independently through the provider and, if not, TA, making sure to keep my wits about things. I’ve heard of clients booking through producers and other providers, but I’ve never done so myself not because I never wanted to, but because I’ve just not had the chance. However, if we’ve learned anything from the infamous Luxury Companion scandal, combining a modeling agency with an escort agency doesn’t work. As similar as these two professions are, they are different, and treating them as one and the same will only spell disaster.
My two cents: If you’ve booked through Chris, distance yourself from him. Putting aside the man allegedly being a rapist, his roster at Foxxx Modeling is just that now a roster. The women there won’t be looked at as adult actresses; they’ll be looked at as providers, and even though some of them are, not all fall into that category. I think the amount of attention on Chris this year will only get worse, and I’d rather a client not fall in the middle of it. I'm not telling anyone what to do or who to book with. I'm just saying to watch out for yourself. Stay safe out there.
