Experience matters for sure. I’m a veteran—been seeing providers since I was 18, so over ten years now—and I’ll tell you this:
confidence is everything.
It doesn’t matter if you’re new or experienced—confidence will
make or break your session. If you go in hesitant, unsure, or nervous, it reflects in everything: your energy, your communication, your performance. And unfortunately, that usually leads to a forgettable or even awkward experience—for both you and the provider.
On the flip side, if you walk in
knowing she’s going to enjoy you, that energy is contagious. Women pick up on it. That kind of confidence is magnetic. And no, it’s not about arrogance. It’s about being sure of yourself, being respectful, and having the mindset that you’re worth her time—and that the two of you are about to enjoy a great experience together.
I get it—not everyone has that confidence naturally. I do, and I know it gives me an edge. But if you don’t have it yet,
build it. Do whatever you have to do. For some, that’s hitting the gym, dressing sharp, or taking care of grooming. For others, it's mental preparation.
We’ve discussed that having a drink—
a beer, maybe two, maybe even three—can help loosen you up. And yes, it works. Just don’t overdo it. This is about boosting your confidence,
not clouding your judgment.
Another underrated tool?
Your environment before the session. I usually ride to my sessions with the same driver I’ve used for years. We’re like-minded, we talk, we laugh—and that puts me in the zone. That kind of vibe helps me walk in cool, relaxed, and focused.
Podcasts can do the same. Listening to people you admire—voices that motivate or entertain you—can set your mindset right. Music works too. Whatever puts you in a confident headspace, lean into that.
When you walk into a session, you’ve got to
think and believe:
“I’m the new IT.” Not in a cocky way, but with self-assurance. If you don’t believe in yourself, why should she?
