Deposit Scams Warning
I wanted to share a recent experience as a cautionary tale, especially for those who may be newer to the scene or relocating providers.
Earlier today, I was contacted via X by a pornstar provider who recently moved to Southern California from Florida. She has a substantial following close to 100k and has verified reviews here on EA.
She initiated the conversation through DM, suggesting a possible arrangement. To stay within X's terms of service, I provided my phone number to continue the conversation via text.
Through text, she shared her standard rates and screening requirements. I inquired about specific services, including BBFS and anal, and she responded with corresponding rates. I made it clear I wouldn’t be available until the end of August due to work obligations and upcoming travel. Despite this, she attempted to persuade me to book for this week.
She then requested a $2,000 deposit, approximately 40%, to lock in an end-of-August booking. While I was on a business call, she sent multiple follow up messages insisting I send the deposit quickly, stating she needed a response within 15 minutes due to another client ("a company") showing interest to book her for a shoot.
Before that window closed, I replied that I couldn’t commit to a deposit at that time due to my budget and upcoming trip. I encouraged her to pursue any other opportunities in the meantime, and said I’d reach out when I was deposit ready.
This is where things escalated.
She claimed the company had booked another provider and demanded I compensate her for the supposed lost booking, $2,000. She argued that declining to send payment was disrespectful and not gentlemanly. I made it clear I never committed to anything and that it was entirely inappropriate to demand funds under these circumstances. I respectfully told her we were not a good match and asked her to discontinue communication.
She then threatened to "warn" others in her network about me, despite my having done nothing improper. I remained calm and did not respond further, knowing I had done nothing wrong and had full documentation of our text exchange. She then claimed she would be contacting Tryst Agency. I replied, "Tell them I said hello."
It turns out she actually did reach out to them.
Fortunately, I have saved all screenshots and messages, which clearly reflect the facts and my respectful conduct throughout. I’m sharing this not to shame anyone, but to warn others. Not every provider operates in good faith, and some are actively attempting to manipulate or pressure clients into sending deposits under false pretenses.
This is a strong reminder of the value in booking through reputable agencies like Tryst Agency, where processes are more standardized and protection goes both ways.
