I’ve been in this hobby for 5 years and I’ve taken discretionary steps to ensure my privacy. I know that when starting, you need to verify and I respect why providers and agencies ask for your personal information.
My concern though is if God forbid shit hits the fan and something was to pop off, these people have my information. Over the years I’ve gone with providers who accept references. However, agencies like PC, AIA, and others still ask for DL ID even if you have references.
How safe is our information exactly? There’s disclaimers that say that the information is discarded but at the end of the day, still kinda paranoid. I’m just not comfortable with showing my address and full name. What’s y'all thoughts? Open to being told I’m wrong and that I’m overthinking.
