Bree isn't coming back to providing or the industry as a whole. In a recent article published by LAD Bible, it focused on what Bree gave up n the industry along side of why she'll never return. I knew there would have to be something very strong to pull her back and I thought that would be money; it's not the money. If Bree isn't going to come back to shoot adult films then there's no way any of us will see her transactionally.
Bree Olson, who became a well-known name in the adult film industry starting in 2006, recently opened up about the major financial sacrifices she made after leaving the world of porn. Olson, now 37, starred in over 571 films before deciding to step away from the industry at just 25.
Since leaving porn, Olson has dipped her toes into mainstream acting, with a role in the 2015 film The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence). But making the switch came at a cost—literally. Olson revealed that she used to earn between $30,000 and $60,000 a month from her work in adult films. And while she could still pull in $20,000 in a single week if she wanted to return, she’s made it clear that going back isn’t on the table.
Olson has been open about the struggles she’s faced since leaving the industry, particularly when it comes to the judgment she deals with. In a 2016 interview, she got real about how tough it’s been, sharing that some days, she doesn’t even want to leave her house. Pointing out that she’s even banned from certain jobs, like working in healthcare or around kids.
None of this is new news. We all knew that Bree had a certain outlook on the industry not for what's happening inside of it, but for what the outcome is afterwards. What we didn't know, at least I didn't, is that she's been turning down thousands of dollars that would be "easy" for her to say yes to. To turn down that much money takes a lot of bravery and diligence. None of us can possibly understand what it means for an actor after leaving the adult industry.
It really sucks that we will never have another chance to see the legendary Bree Olson. Whether if it was on our laptops or on TAs roster. Still, we have to respect her choices.
