Brandi Love has been on every single one of our lists since day one. I still know plenty of clients trying to book her even now, because Brandi has been — and will most likely always be — top-tier in our books. The chance to book her has been rare for a long time, mostly because Brandi has a real life outside the industry, and part of that real life includes politics. If you follow her on social media, then you know just how outspoken she’s been about her opinions on how the country should be run — or at least, how she used to be.
Two days ago, Brandi posted something long and very direct on X (formerly Twitter). I had to read it a couple of times, honestly in disbelief. I’ve always followed her takes because, agree or not, they make you think. Seeing that she’s stepping away from politics completely was both surprising and — from a client’s point of view — kind of interesting to think about.
It’s crystal clear from the post that Brandi is done with politics. She says she’ll always be an American who’d bleed for her country, but her time weighing in on political matters is over. She also repeated a few of the takes we’ve seen before on her timeline, especially the one about “dismantling the system.” That particular line alone pissed off more than a few fans, and it may be one of the reasons she’s decided to pull back.
A few friends and I were talking about it, and one of them brought up a good point: Brandi stepping away might not be about a change of heart — it could be that people are just taking things too far. She’s allowed to have her opinions, but the backlash from people who disagree has gotten louder and more aggressive, turning her posts into something bigger than they were probably meant to be.
If you read further into the post, Brandi mentions wanting to focus more on her husband and her fans — getting back to the industry that helped make her the icon she is today. And you know me — I immediately took that as a potential sign that Brandi might start providing more. Politics took up a huge part of her time. Whether it was writing out long post or going back and forth in the comments, she was always in the thick of it. Now that she’s stepping back? That opens the door for her to possibly take on more bookings, maybe even start touring again. There was a time she toured once every three months, and it’s been quiet on that front for a while now.
It’s hard not to be excited about the possibility of seeing more of Brandi. As someone who’s been eager to book her myself, I’m hoping this shift means her schedule just opened up — and maybe I can finally slide into a spot.
Just a side note: If there were any other way for Brandi to have more free time, I’d prefer that instead. It sucks that her voice was essentially silenced on her own platform because people couldn’t handle a difference in opinion. I don’t agree with everything she says, but I’m not about to force my views down her throat either. That’s all.
