Porn is dangerous in high amounts — there’s no two ways about it.
As we discussed in a previous post, hardcore porn is the most dangerous form of pornography one can consume. From the moment the action starts, your dopamine levels spike almost as high as high as they would with a known stimulating drug. At least it certainly feels that way.
So, what are some rules of thumb one can follow to avoid suffering from porn-induced ED? Well, I’ve set a few for myself that I encourage more gentlemen to adopt.

1) Cap your porn session at 30–35 minutes — and at a maximum of 15–20 minutes if it’s hardcore porn.
Whether it’s regular or hardcore, too much of it will, over time, rewire your brain’s pathways to require more and more stimulation in order to become aroused. The longer you go, the more damage you do to your natural arousal response.

2) Watch it a maximum of four times a week — especially if it’s hardcore content.
As I wrote in another post a while back, I suffered from porn-induced ED for several weeks. I used to watch a minimum of three hours of porn every night — both regular and hardcore — for weeks on end, until it led to, well… regular ED.

3) JOI and Solo videos are the key.
JOI and solo videos are much easier on your brain since they don’t involve the overstimulation typical of most porn. I’ve found JOI/solo videos to be the most forgiving — that’s what I always go for before meeting a provider, especially if I have a session planned a few days ahead.

I live by these rules. I don’t want anyone to suffer the detrimental effects that porn can have if consumed in excess.
