I’m really trying to understand what to make of this post. Being open-minded is something I always keep at the forefront because I don’t like to judge — I’d rather see things from another person’s perspective. But I find it difficult to do that when the perspective is of a man scouting out a brothel to visit after his wife passes from cancer.
Stay with me on this. A provider mentioned a client who was getting a tour of a brothel. I didn’t even know clients could get tours, but when you think about it, it does make sense. Anyway, while she was with another client, she overheard this man explaining that he was checking out the place for when his girlfriend passes. She has cancer and doesn’t have long to live. So instead of cheating on her while she’s alive, he’s making sure he’ll have options once she’s gone. Hence the tour.
Now, the nonjudgmental side of me tries to see it from his point of view. He’s not technically cheating. He’s preparing in his own way for when she does pass. Maybe this is part of how he’s handling grief. We all grieve differently.
But the judgmental side of me is screaming, “What the fuck!!” This is by far the weirdest shit I’ve ever heard in the hobby — and I’ve heard of a client calling the cops on a provider and getting himself arrested. What kind of fucking douche is worried about where his dick is going to be next while his girlfriend is literally dying? Hell, she could have already passed while he was touring the brothel. Maybe this is his way of coping, but honestly, it feels like a bizarre way to grieve for someone you’re supposedly close to.
This is the type of shit that makes me think providers sometimes see us as nothing more than horndogs. A guy goes out of his way to plan where he’ll stick it before his girlfriend has even left this world or grown cold in the ground. What do you even think of a person like that?
I’m sure the courtesans will be professional if he books them in the future. But if anyone deserves to have their balls busted — whether on purpose or by accident — it’s this dude.
