5 Hard Lessons I’ve Learned in 11 Years in the Hobby

I recently celebrated my 11-year anniversary in this hobby, and wow, what a ride. There have been incredible highs, but also a few lows. In this post, I’m highlighting five lessons I’ve learned the hard way, so other gentlemen can avoid making the same mistakes.

1. “Been in a few professional scenes” means close to nothing

If you want to treat yourself, only visit a pornstar who has more than 10 professional scenes under their belt. Don’t be fooled by girls who have done just a few scenes (less than 7–8). It usually ends in disappointment.

I learned this the hard way with a girl named Lindsay Maddox back in 2023. She was friends with the Deity Bastet, but they were night and day in professionalism and energy. There was no spark, no engagement — just a very lackluster experience.

Pro tip: In the US, book through agencies like TrystAgency. In Europe, check EuroGirlsEscort for touring pornstars. Save yourself the headache.

2. If the price is too good to be true — it probably is

This one’s a hard truth I’ve learned over 11 years. Ads claiming $150/hour? Most are BS. Photos are often outdated (5+ years old) or heavily photoshopped. And if you ask for FaceTime verification, refusal is almost guaranteed.

For every 100 girls charging $100–$150/hour, only about 3-4 look like their pictures in real life. Save your money — book someone who charges more.
Quality often comes at a premium.

3. There’s a lot of competition — don’t take it personally

I wrote a post recently on how to become a provider’s favorite client, but here’s an extra tip: don’t be discouraged if you’re ignored. The competition is fierce — especially for ATFs and sugarbabes.

On the bright side, there are tons and tons of providers. I
f one provider passes on you, move on quickly. There are plenty of others who will appreciate you and treat you like a VIP.

4. If the pictures don’t match reality — leave

This is non-negotiable. I’ve made the mistake of staying too long when the provider didn’t look like their photos, and it never ends well.

It’s in everyone’s best interest — especially yours as the paying client — to politely decline and leave. Wait a day, and book a well-reviewed provider instead. You’ll thank yourself later.

5. Don’t underestimate the importance of attitude and chemistry

Even if everything else checks out — appearance, professionalism, and price — attitude and chemistry matter most. A beautiful provider who’s rude, distant, or disengaged can ruin the entire experience. Conversely, a slightly less polished girl who’s playful, attentive, and engaged will leave a far better impression.

Remember: you’re paying for more than looks — you’re paying for an experience. Seek energy, connection, and someone who genuinely wants to be there.
