I typically do blood work once a month or sometimes more than once in a month if I plan to see a PS for BBFS. Yet as a general best practice how often should you do a test if you are sexually active (even if you are always using condom but enjoy BBJ) ?

I test monthly in addition to retesting before seeing someone. All PS providers typically prefer your test to be within 7 days if you are requesting BBFS.

I always test within 7 days of seeing someone, except in some rare cases where I’m given permission to go a bit longer between tests by a provider who knows and trusts me. I don’t test in between, but I’m a bit of a slut so it’s rare for me to go more than a few weeks between tests.

Concur with this timing. I frankly test even if BBFS has not been normally offered when meeting with a PS who is actively working. It’s about giving her comfort since it’s her livelihood here too.

I do quite a bit of testing for a couple of reasons. I see my regular provider for and she requires a test within 7 days. I make the drive down to TTS in Northridge for this just about on a monthly basis, or every 6 weeks. This is about a 4 hour round trip for me.

I also have a FWB and people I see casually that are not SW, and I normally abstain from seeing them for 2 weeks after seeing my provider. I test at 2 weeks and if everything is good, I continue to see my FWB. I normally just come up with excuses for why I can’t see them, or just avoid for a while.

My provider requires TTS. There is a new service where you can stick yourself and send in the samples yourself, and she doesn’t accept that because it’s too easy to poke someone else. She requires PASS certified labs too.

I work in healthcare, and I get free STD/STI labs anytime I want. I literally sit right next to our lab 5 days a week for work, and I work for a very reputable healthcare org. I’m certain we are equal to or better than pass certified (I haven’t checked). I don’t even bring this up though. If she requires TTS, and that’s what she is comfortable with, then that’s what I’ll do .

So I TTS for her 7 days before then test at my lab 14 days after seeing her for free. I also abstain from all sexual activity 10 days before seeing her, so I’m in a constant cycle of testing and abstaining.

I actually manage the nurse that sends our “ normal” lab emails and messages” I’m sure she wonders why I’m always taking so many STD/HIV tests, but it’s hippa, so it is what it is lol

So in a period of 3 months I’m TTS testing 3 times and another 3 times at my place of work.im not as high volume as some of the people on this forum, so maybe thats pretty tame.

I’ve got 2 women I’ve seen on multiple repeats now who’ve said they’ll accept the at-home kits from me because they trust me to actually do the tests and be safe when I’m not seeing them. It’s good to know I can do that if the weather is awful or I’m sick or just can’t get away from work to test, but unless I literally can’t get out, I’m still going to the nearest TTS draw facility every time, even for them.

There’s a TTS draw facility about a 20 minute drive from me that I’ve never considered going to because the TTS locations page says they don’t do the anal swabs. I’m going to call them on Monday and see if that’s true. Because it doesn’t make sense that a self-administered test that has a swab and vial included in the TTS kit box wouldn’t be something they could just include in the FedEx package.

If I'm just seeing my regular SB then I don't typically test. My testing tends to be when I specifically want to play elsewhere bb with gals that allow it. Probably test every 30-45 days most of the time.

Before a business trip, 48 hours before
If I am local, monthly. Full panel Gold test with swabs and MGen. And anytime before I fuck a new civilian (either friend or Hotwife) I'll test 48 hours beforehand. So in total........2-3 times per month

Bro i feel your pain on the drive im all the way in ventura/port hueneme... I could almost sit in my roof and throw a rock and it would hit the naval base ase(not that i would, id get in big trouble haha) its a good 2 and half hour round trip(if there's no slow downs on the 101 or 118...


Now onto my answer for this i test bi weekly at Kaiser which is only 5 miles down the road from me and a $10 co pay... I also dont even need to email the doctor just use their site and hit some e lab stuff the only problem is it doesn’t not test for mgen..my former atf was cool with just kaiser this latest PS provider I will be seeing in a few months on a big boy date(well for me its a big boy date between multi hour+ dinner+flight+hotel +rental car etc) is cool with kaiser too but asked for all 10 tests so I have to specifically email my doctor a few days b4 i see her to get those test done... if I am planning on seeing any future ps providers like on TA roster or privately I make it a point to address if they are cool with kaiser or if they are more comfortable with TTS... if they are not 100% "ok" with kaiser results i definitely will be hitting TTS again... Do NOT get me wrong I have no problem with TTS and I understand it is needed my main 2 issues are the $300+ for "gold panel" and the 3 hour drive... I am not saying im going to skimp or risk a professional career but if you dont ask you dont know
