Provider hair texture- does it impact your booking?

I’ve gotten interesting discussion on this on my regional board and Reddit from both provider and client opinions (see here and here for the Reddit threads) , curious on clients’ thoughts here (and providers that are here!)

This coming out of curiosity from a provider who's worn my naturally curly hair as a 2a for years now and just started wearing it curly with clients sometimes (3a-3b) Hasn't impacted anything/i've only gotten compliments, but I do wear it both ways in my website/most of my ads).

• Clients, would you feel disillusioned if one way in the ad and then she showed up otherwise in person? Does hair texture impact your booking choices?
• Providers with naturally curly hair- does wearing it natural impact your bookings?

(Also important to note how racism pulls in part here- my POC friends have told me how they frequently get less bookings and sometimes upset clients when they wear their hair naturally curly, vs my white friends and myself who don't always notice a difference)

Texture makes no difference but I am a bit disappointed if the provider is not into a little hair pulling.

Huh..... Texture doesn't mean to much to me, but the hair as a whole does. For instance, I have yet to be with a woman that is completely bold. It is on my bucket list and something that I'm looking for as it does intrigue me. I think it's rare as you can only find when with their hair half cut, but as for texture it doesn't play a major role in my decision making.

Although, as I look at this picture it does bring up an either or for me. Usually this doesn't make a difference, but subconsciously if I'm going through a catalog of when I'd want to see it might come up. Like, during my backpage days I use to see AA women who would have wigs on. Some you couldn't tell others it was very obvious, but I didn't mind it since I have 7 sisters and you get use to seeing wigs all over the damn place. I didn't bother me but that doesn't mean I liked it. Very big turnoff for me for a number of reasons. Back to my point, I rather see a provider with real hair then fake. So in a way texture plays a part in my booking. Small way though.

I love curly hair. I've never seen anyone in the 3b+ range but I would really like to.

I like curly hair, but straight hair doesn't bother me. I love short hair, even a shaved head. I book WOC about half the time, and I prefer natural hair, but if she has it straightened that doesn't both me. I'm not a fan of wigs. Every hairstyle in that picture looks great.

Honestly, I really don’t care if anyone calls me a racist. I like what I like.

I’m probably not booking a girl with hair curlier than 3a, and def not booking a girl with hair more curlier than 3b.

Once by mistake I booked a darker girl and I wouldn’t do it again unless there was an extenuating circumstance.
