I know there are potential complications, especially when bringing a provider from the U.S...

Has anyone here ever flown a provider in from another country?

I know there are potential complications, especially when bringing a provider from the U.S. into Europe, and I've heard stories about immigration asking questions when a provider returns.

Lately, I’ve come across a few European providers with THE assets that I´m looking for.

Has anyone here actually arranged an international fly-in before?

• Was it smooth or a headache?
• Any unexpected issues with customs or travel paperwork?
• Anything you wish you had known beforehand?

Not planning anything immediately, but I’m curious for future reference.

Any insight, or success stories would be appreciated.

I’ve done this once. She told me the price of her tickets and I sent the costs including the deposit. Couldn’t have been easier.

Yes, I did recently from the US to Canada. I booked the flight, hotel, and Uber in my city.

No issues coming in as I live in a fairly touristy area so lots of visitors come here often from the US. Also she is UTR so nothing online about her being a provider if they googled her name.

Return she was worried as she was concerned they'd be looking thru her phone and at her social media. Fortunately that never happened so she was able to return just fine.

The only thing i'd do next time is probably recommend she brings a 'clean' phone without social media/provider related data on it. There was a bit of anxiety on her part going back to the US. Also provider related info on her phone upon entry to Canada could be grounds to deny her as well if they searched her phone.

Canada to US, booked flights for her. She was staying with me. US border asked some cursory questions. Going back Canada just saw her passport and waved her through. There would be no real reason to suspect she was a provider.
