At any given time, there’s a provider watching you at the bar, waiting to catch that lone civilian—soon-to-be client. Some of us crave that kind of spontaneous encounter. We see it on TV and in movies, not thinking about the hidden agenda the actress might have before she walks up. The same can be said for a provider in real life.

News straight out of Las Vegas tells the story of a man staying at the Wynn Encore Resort, who reported that $100,000 worth of items—including three luxury watches—were stolen after he fell asleep in his hotel room. On October 11, two women approached the man (man #1) and his friend (man #2) at the hotel bar, eventually joining them in their rooms. Nikailah McMasters stayed in the room with man #1, while Bailey Carr and man #2 were in another room. When man #1 woke up, his three watches were missing: an $80,000 Audemars Piguet, a $25,000 Rolex Presidential, and a $15,000 Rolex Submariner. On top of that, a $1,200 Zelle transaction had been sent to McMasters without his knowledge.

Man #2 claimed that Carr asked for money in exchange for sexual acts, which led him to send her $800 via Zelle. Both women later left the rooms.

On October 13, McMasters and Carr were arrested at the Wynn Encore Resort. They now face charges of grand larceny exceeding $100,000, residential burglary, and conspiracy to commit grand larceny. McMasters also faces an additional theft charge for the unauthorized $1,200 transaction.

After reading this, I couldn’t help but wonder: Is it worth going to law enforcement knowing you might get prosecuted for seeing a provider? Considering this is Vegas, I assume situations like this happen daily. Instead of taking the loss after man #1 got his things stolen, he called law enforcement to recover his property. Honestly, I don’t know if I’d have done the same.

I would’ve given it serious thought, weighing the pros and cons. The biggest con being I’m out $100,000; the biggest pro being no one knows I see providers. It’s a lot to consider, and I really don’t know what I’d do in that moment.
