I’m continuing this "whatever happened to" series with Katja Kean. I know that I’ve already made a thread about her, but I didn't go into depth.
Not only is this woman a really sweet girl in real life (I know because I met and spoke to her once, two years ago, in Copenhagen), she is also the most well-known pornstar in and from Denmark.
Katja, or Sussi la Cour, which is her real name, was born in a wealthy town in the greater Copenhagen area in 1968.
Katja got her first taste of being in front of the camera naked in 1997 at the age of 29. She, however, left the business three short years later. Even though she had a relatively short career, she shot for prominent studios, including Sin City, Private, and Wicked Pictures.
She has revealed several times that she did escort while she did porn.
After her porn escapades, she was on a roll. She managed to secure a prominent role in a Danish sitcom called "Langt Fra Las Vegas," which ran from 2001 to 2003. In 2004, Katja started her own lingerie brand called "Katja K - Based on a True Story." The company was later dissolved.
She has also had a biography written about her life called "Katja KXXX," which sold really well in Denmark.
A minor side note is that she was forced to change her name from 'Katja Kean' to 'Katja K' because a family in Denmark, who shared the same last name as her, resented having it associated with a pornstar.
Luckily, her movies can still be enjoyed.
