Yesterday I read a provider talk about her disdain for TrystLink. She spoke about a lot that’s going on with the site and how it’s going downhill. She specifically mentioned the biggest issue plaguing all directories lately: OnlyFans creators. We as clients have seen them all over a couple of directories to the point where Eros actually created an icon just for them. There’s no telling the difference when you’re on TrystLink, and by the time you realize it, you’ve already contacted them and wasted your time. After reading this woman’s post, another provider advised her to visit Velvet22. That’s when I decided to look into the site myself.
The first thing I noticed when I visited Velvet22 was class. There was a level of sophistication you really don’t get with the other directories. It felt like I was on one of the European sites. That’s when I saw where the platform originated and realized why it felt that way. Velvet22 was created in the Netherlands by providers, both current and retired. Their pledge is to make a space that’s less compromised and safer for providers and the entire community which I assume includes clients.
Taking a quote directly from the site:
“Whether you’re exploring companionship for the first time or you’re a seasoned client, you’ll only find real, independent escorts on Velvet22 — no agencies, no scams, no bots.”
Now, having something like this written on a directory isn’t new, but when you actually use the site, something feels different. The fact that I don’t have to worry about OF creators or scammers being on the site is a giant sigh of relief I didn’t think we could get here in the States.
The layout for each profile is simple. Before you even click on anyone, you see a full photo of the provider, her name and base city at the bottom, and her hourly rate at the top. This makes your decision for you in less than five seconds whether you want to or can afford to see her. Once you click on the profile, it shows you everything you want to know. You’ll find more photos, her sexuality, age pretty much everything you already got a hint of before clicking. The best part: her contact information is right there. That may not sound like a big deal, but when you research as much as I do, it feels fucking amazing to have everything laid out right in front of you. Even with TrystLink giving you contact info, I never know if the profile is legit, so I keep digging and it eats up a lot of time. Velvet22 doesn’t feel like that.
After finding the site, I decided to run a little experiment. I picked five random providers from five different cities. Out of the five, only one raised my suspicion. That was after following the info the provider herself provided and the site had already vetted. Out of five, one came back suspicious. That’s a big win, considering how many profiles I go through on other directories that inevitably lead nowhere.
I’m not saying Velvet22 is our godsend. You’ll know that website when we create it "wink". What I’m saying is, if you actually want to find providers not OF women promoting their content or scammers trying to make their next $100 off you maybe Velvet22 is what you’re looking for. I can’t say the site doesn’t have flaws, since I haven’t booked through it yet, but it could be a step in the right direction for clients who genuinely want to enjoy the hobby without the hassle.
