The UK is cracking down on prostitution and they’re doing it one neighborhood at a time. An article came out yesterday letting clients know if they are caught enabling prostitution in any way, they’ll have to pay a fine up to £1K and for those that don’t know the exchange rate between the US and UK; that’s a little over $1200. They’re calling this order Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) and will only be held in certain wards connected to a street known as Romford Road.
The article mainly spoke on effects this will have with providers on and off the streets, but I’m more concerned what this will do to clients. It’s hard enough booking providers with fear of LE in UK, which yes it’s difficult but nowhere near as strict as the US. At least officials are willing to meet with providers to come to an understanding, here in the states something like that is nonexistent leaving out a couple places.
