When my SB and I stopped talking, it wasn’t like I instantly moved on.
For weeks I kept catching myself thinking:
“Hmm… I wonder what she’s doing right now.”
The slow fade is what gets you.
Daily messages turn into weekly ones.
Weekly messages turn into something every couple of weeks.
That’s when you realize it’s over.
I figured I’d share a few things that helped me move on. If this saves even a couple of guys from wasting months thinking about a girl who has already moved on, then the post did its job.
1. Delete every photo immediately
All of them. Her, you together, everything.
If you keep those pictures, you’re just feeding the nostalgia.
2. See another girl quickly
Same day if possible. Seriously.
People underestimate how powerful this is mentally. It breaks the “she was special” illusion very quickly.
3. Become a regular somewhere else
Find a provider you like and start seeing her consistently. Get her number if possible. Build a new routine.
SB, PPM, escort — it doesn’t matter. The point is replacing the old dynamic with a new one.
4. (Optional but effective) The WhatsApp trick
Some might say this is evil, but honestly… who cares.
If you know your former SB checks your WhatsApp or Instagram, change your profile picture to you with another girl.
I actually did this once. We had broken up three or four times before, so it wasn’t exactly shocking.
She took the bait immediately and messaged me asking who the girl in my WhatsApp photo was.
It works.
Do I still think about her sometimes? Sure.
But only when I’m "in the mood".
If anyone else has tricks for getting over an SB, I’m curious to hear them.
(Closest to a real image, I asked GPT to generate an image feeding it an image of my former SB (with exactly that dress and then me in that exact suit) It´s about 98% accurate I´d say.
