Personally I don't mind the idea of decentralized platforms, though I'm not sure how safe anything public ever would be.

I also know some models that are active on discords, though that creates a bit of a weird parasocial environment. I'm not that much of a fan of anyone to be in their cults.

I'm old enough to remember when everybody said X would burn to the ground once Elon fired 75% of the workforce. Remember when everybody told us IG Threads was the twitter killer? There is a reason why nobody has knocked off twitter, its hard to monetize this sort of application.

It doesn’t happen overnight but it crowd and the content and the sense of fun on those platforms has changed
