Rebecca Jane Smyth, a beloved veteran of the porn industry, passed away on December 10 at 51 after a year-long illness.
She is survived by her spouse and one child.
Harmony Films, where Smyth spent much of her career, announced her passing in a heartfelt statement. Steven Godfrey, the studio’s deputy chief executive, described her as “an absolute legend and a pleasure to work with.”
Fellow performer Amber Jayne remembered Smyth as “the life and soul of a party” and praised her inspiring energy. Tanya Virago called her loss “a heartbreaking” and hailed her as “a queen in heaven.”
Smyth began her career in the early 1990s as a Page 3 model before transitioning to adult films. Known for her role as the “Matron” in Harmony’s Young Harlots series, she also appeared in productions by Brazzers, Digital Playground, and Evil Angel. After a decade-long hiatus to focus on family, Smyth returned to the industry she loved.
