They have a verification process that includes sending a photo ID and answering some questions about yourself, and they require a $1,000 retainer to get full access to their site, and that retainer has to be used within the first 60 days on a booking or you lose it. But you don’t need to pay the retainer to get a list of their roster and see who is traveling where and when, nor does it limit you from communicating with them and asking them questions. Don’t ask them about any services a provider might offer or add-ons for a date. They won’t answer.

It sounds more intrusive and difficult to get access than it actually is.

Did they call your employer?

No. Which is nice since I’ve been an almost exclusively remote worker for almost 8 years and don’t have an office phone they could use to verify l other than my cell. They didn’t even ask to send an email to my corporate address.

One tip that probably isn’t necessary for Lourdes but might help with private bookings is to verify your LinkedIn profile. There are 2 different types of verifications that you can do. One is to verify you work where you say you work by verifying an email they send to your corporate address and the other is through Clear.

They did back when I got verified in 2015. It was an innocuous call to the front desk, like saying it's a reminder for a dental appointment or faucet repair.

Maybe I should walk back my comment. I don’t have an office or front desk anyone could call into to verify me and I said so in my outreach, so I can’t confirm that they won’t do this, only that they used a different method for me when they couldn’t do it.
