I keep forgetting that the States don’t exactly have prime real estate when it comes to providing in the world. We have some great providers here, but when you compare it to countries that are so much leaner on escorting than ours, you start to see what’s really out there. AdultWorks is a prime example of a directory that’s free to do as it pleases since it’s located in a place where providing isn’t exactly legal yet doesn’t necessarily discriminate against its providers. Ivy Societe paints that same picture, as it seems to be a central hub for Australian providers. Me being myself, I had to dig a little deeper and realized Ivy Societe is everything I want the hobby to be and more.

The directory is built around authenticity. Authentic in being controlled and operated by Australian locals. Authentic as a trusted source for clients to use. And authentic for having 100% verified providers on their directory. I gotta say, even though I know jack shit about them, I’m feeling at ease at the thought of booking through the site.

The entire directory touches just about every country except for the U.S., of course. Every provider profile looks as simple as the next, with the first picture usually being amateur, giving you a sense of comfort. Completely different from what you see on Eros yet strangely familiar to what you get on TrystLink somewhat, anyway. Once you click on the profiles, it gives you everything you need: the provider’s social media, rates, a small bio none of us ever read, and the services being offered. It’s pretty obvious the provider doesn’t make the profile the people who run the directory do because the amount of detail they put into each of these profiles isn’t something I can see a provider doing themselves; hence what we have here in the States.

Outside of the directory, the owners contribute to the SWer community with parties and events. Whether it’s a small brunch or a gala being thrown by them, the owners seem to want to bring the community together. The way SWers are treated in Australia is drastically different from how they’re treated here in the States. Over there, they can win awards for being a provider. Here, the closest a provider can get to winning an award is if they’re also a mainstream actress or a content creator and even then, they’re not winning an award for providing.

Ivy is essentially what I want EA to be. The way it strives to help the community from both sides of the hobby gives a client like myself real ambition to create the same thing over here. I realize this isn’t really possible with the way SWers and clients are viewed, but that doesn’t mean it’s something not worth striving for.

Ivy seems to have created a space where providers are respected, clients are informed, and the ecosystem actually works the way it should. It proves that when a community is treated with dignity, the hobby becomes safer, smoother, and a hell of a lot more enjoyable for everyone involved. I don't know much about the site, it's possible this could be Australia's Eros for all I know. Although, Eros never held a community event that I know of. Ivy is still an example of what could happen stateside.
