This can across yesterday and all I could do was laugh my ass off. I’m not trying to be insensitive a threat like this could and should be taken very seriously, but being in this hobby you see this type of intimidation so often all you can do is laugh it of. The reason I say that, is because that’s all these types of texts are meant to do; intimidate you. Believe it or not this happens from both sides of the hobby.
From a provider standpoint, I hear everything from threatening texts to wishing death on them in an email. All this happening, because the client didn’t was disgruntled in some way with the provider. This is common sense but I’ll say it anyway. There is no reason for a client to send death threats of any kind to a provider it’s truly the dumbest shit you can do and if you are, then you’re the reason ID verification is a thing. This is the exact reason why the verification process is as strict as it is when seeing a provider, for waste of life people like you.
From the client standpoint, the intimidation tactic is usually meant to bribe. Often clients will search for multiple providers to book one and have another to fall back on, while doing so providers will believe they’re getting their time wasted and send threatening texts or emails. The texts won’t always be from the original number, but it’s always the same thing threatening to expose you in some way or blacklist you. For me, a provider sent me pictures of cut up body parts saying, “I know who you are and I will do this to your entire family”; I knew right away it was bullshit (this was my backpage days). Regardless, this people are the worst and when they send things like this it’s always meant to intimidate. If you’re smart you can deal with this of the problem comes along and even avoid it all together.
Anyway, the point is don’t be this person. If the provider says something that annoys you just move on to the next provider. There’s never a reason to threaten a providers life that’s only trying to do their job.
