What happens between providers is something I always thought should stay between them. We see it all the time on social media—subliminal messages, very obvious and dangerous doxxing. I don't understand where this stems from or what it really achieves, especially since it ruins reputations. From a client’s point of view, it’s nothing but unattractive.
From what I’ve observed, this usually happens in one of two places: either on X (formerly Twitter) or on Reddit, particularly in subgroups like SexWorkers. It’s ironic, considering the supposed solidarity within these spaces, but that’s a discussion for another day.
For instance, there’s some drama going on between several providers I follow on X. One party has been accused of doxxing, hacking, harassing, and more. Apparently, it all started with one person harassing the others. I don’t know if it’s true, but this kind of behavior is unfortunately common among providers.
Providers seem to harass each other daily, often out of jealousy. It could be over the number of clients someone is getting or how they’re perceived. Some providers will downplay or attack each other just because they can.
Back to my example: I have no idea if the accusations are true. I could do a deep dive, but honestly, it feels pointless. Whether the accused or the accusers are telling the truth, the damage is done. Now, I don’t want to book any of them.
It’s sad because there’s likely a right and a wrong party here. But with everyone’s name being thrown around, it’s hard to look past it. The smartest thing to do is stay away from all of them.
I might be the only one who thinks this way, but I doubt it. Watching this squabbling unfold really makes me lose interest in seeing any of them.
