This is an age-old question, but I’ve tried to dig a little deeper to come up with an answer. It’s more complicated than it seems, so let’s start from scratch.
The reason providers join agencies is to widen their appeal to potential clients. They can easily drown in a sea of thousands of independent escort ads across the various directories.
From the provider’s perspective, there’s a downside: they give up a percentage of their rate to the agency. Fair enough, after all, it’s the agency that promotes them and brings in bookings.
But the upside is visibility. Thousands of potential clients browse agency sites daily, and those sites typically feature only 25–70 providers. That means far less competition for attention compared to being just one ad among thousands.
Now, if we look at independents:
The obvious benefit is independence - they keep 100% of their rate and call their own shots.
But the downside is that every expense - from ads and websites to photography and screening tools, comes out of their pocket. If it’s a slow week or month, that can hurt.
So, there are pros and cons on both sides.
