I know we’re still fresh off the STI conversation, and I’m not trying to scare anyone or blow things out of proportion. That said, depending on who you ask, it can be a big deal. This article is mainly for informational purposes, keeping the community in the loop. Not all of us do our due diligence when researching providers, so this serves as a way for this information to pop up when you search for this provider’s name.
The provider in question, who goes by the name Candy Got Cakes, is based in Chicago and has a small following on social media. My concern stems from what I assume is part of her promotion strategy: she’s openly sharing that she has an STI.
As you can see from Candy’s bio, she’s being very upfront about her diagnosis. You could interpret this in two ways: either she’s being open and transparent about her condition, or she’s using this information as part of a promotion to attract new clients, however, she's supposedly refrain from seeing new clients and collaborations as of today.
Candy seems pretty relaxed when talking about her condition, providing a somewhat detailed explanation while downplaying the severity of it.
However, she does get more serious about it in one post, which appears to have come out after the recent debacle. Whether she contracted this from Gucci or not, I can't say. It’s just odd that this information is coming to light now, rather than when she first contracted the STI.
Either way, This post is for anyone who's seen Candy. I hope anyone who has seen Candy before she made this public gets tested.
