I do see the appeal sometimes when I browse cam sites - Chaturbate, for example. In some rooms, I totally get why guys tip. The vibe, the attention, the interaction, the ability to interact with said model/couple in a private room etc. it makes sense.

That said, I’ve never actually spent money on Chaturbate (or any cam site). I’ve always stopped at looking.

So I’m curious:
for those of you who do spend money on cam sites,
do you feel it’s genuinely worth it, or does it mostly end up feeling like a waste of time (and money)?

At $10-15 per minute for anyone decently hot, that's $600-900 per hour to touch yourself. And the platform gets 60-70% or so of that. In my opinion, it is tied with OnlyFans for worst deals in sexwork. And unlike videocalls set up directly, cam sites do actually monitor and ban for setting up meets, etc.

I used to spend money on cam sites like Chaturbate, Stripchat, MyFreeCams, etc., but honestly, I had a lot of bad interactions with cam models. Most of them practically lie, never follow through, are lazy, and often come off as disrespectful. Scamming is pretty rampant, and as a tipper, you’re basically screwed because the sites almost always take the model’s side. Also, sites like Streamate have hidden fees, so I ended up sticking with recu.me—it’s honestly better, and I get a wider variety. Fuck Camsites.

Camsite on VR is an entirely different experience. It feels like going to a strip club but you can pleasure yourself in it

The downside of VRcam is that you can see her but she can't see you. However it might be able to be mitigated by using webcam on another site she's streaming too as usually performer nowadays stream on multiple platforms

You had to be super discreet with Streamate, but the rest of the sites I mentioned always have other ways to contact them, via Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, etc. I would usually set up a video call there and then ask the question, mainly because I don't want a trail of evidence in case shit hits the fan.

You need to have private calls and such and showing camera to get them to trust you and want to meet with you. They're not going to meet with someone who does silent calls and whatnot, no matter how much you spend. However, if you're chill and don't come off as creepy/serial killer then yeah your chances of meeting them are much higher.
