We’ve all heard and seen "simp" being thrown around the internet like it was a Goddamn 2012 Modern Warfare lobby, but what is the actual definition of the word?
Probably not the best source, but I looked it up on Urban Dictionary, and the following came up:

So, the simple definition of "simp" is "someone who does way too much for someone they really like." Wow, there’s so much wrong not just with the definition but with the word itself.

First of all, I genuinely enjoy seeing the women I visit and know happy. I get a kick out of making their day better. Seeing the smile on a provider’s face when I tip them—usually $300 if I’ve had a good session—makes everything worth it. When I used to give my sugar babe birthday presents or buy her a flight ticket home and hear how much she appreciated it, that genuinely made me happy inside.

We give things to the women we like and love in return for affection, joy, or connection. That doesn’t make anyone a "simp." If you really follow the logic behind this definition, then you’re a "simp" for giving your own wife flowers. It’s a ridiculous and reductive word.

Also, let’s be real: most of the people who throw around the word "simp" to criticize any act of generosity toward women are the same ones who’ve never even touched a woman—and probably never will.

On the flip side, you could argue that the word is fairly used for those who don’t know any women in real life but still "tip" OnlyFans models they’ll never even meet. Take, for example, the guy who allegedly tipped Sophie Rain over $4,000,000! That’s one of the few cases where the word "simp" might actually be accurate.
