Otherwise, let’s just keep it positive and helpful. Cupid don’t give a fuck; when you’re hit you’re hit. These techniques can offer some relief, till you get your ass to the therapist/wizard of Oz’s office to sort your shit out.

Thanks for sharing! There's quite a bit of overlap between this and what's generally recommended in 12-step programs. Many great emotional regulation tools if practiced. Covered under a different name than here, but one such basic tool is to be mindful of when you're experiencing HALT and mitigate:

Hungry - eat
Angry - call a friend and talk about it, or use another emotion regulation tool
Lonely - call or go hang out with a friend (unofficial, but perhaps that friend is your ATF)
Tired - sleep

It's crazy how much I ignored those very basic things when I was younger and they'd just compound when all it would've taken to mitigate them sometimes were so simple
