Not too many people are talking about the giant stride Australia has made this month. The great nation made the choice to save their youth by putting an age restriction on all social media. This was looked at as a win for the country, as they saw what social media was doing to their nation and took action. What people, like myself, didn’t expect was the ripple of effects it would have on the adult industry more specifically, hobbyists. It looks as if it’s already beginning to hit Australia, with websites no longer being as easy to get to as they once were.
A provider was helpful in raising awareness about a regulation taking effect today. The changes would affect Google and Bing, making it harder to find certain sites for escorting. Basically, if you aren’t logged into a browser, it won’t give you any of the adult sites we’re used to seeing otherwise. This doesn’t really seem like a big deal, but I can’t help but think about where the limit is going to be.

With their intentions being similar to Australia’s wanting to save their youth it does hurt consensual SWers who want to put food on the table and have a roof over their heads. Let’s be honest, if it wasn’t for this provider, I would not have known anything about this. There aren’t too many places any of us can find this information, so this would have just faded into the background, which I believe was the intention.
Mind you, for reference, I did go and try looking up providers in Australia. So far, there’s been no change in the search engine, whether signed in or not. Maybe this change hasn’t been implemented yet, but time will tell if and when it will happen. Until then, I’m going to go through the Australian websites, as there seem to be a lot of gems just waiting to be discovered.
