Have an ATF whose birthday is coming up and want to make sure I get her something. I don't want to be cheap, but I'm also not one to go over the top either...

Have an ATF whose birthday is coming up and want to make sure I get her something. I don't want to be cheap, but I'm also not one to go over the top either for someone I'm not in a relationship with. Extra cash is fine with me - but what is an amount that is reasonable?

For reference, I probably see her once a month and always give her in the $1200 range every time we meet (which btw is technically more than her rate, but I'm more than happy to give that to her).

And when setting the date make sure to say something to the effect of it’s it’ll your birthday this week when can we get together so I can wish you a happy birthday in person. Then see her at the normal rate and if you wanna be extra maybe give her some flowers or something small

spot on advice here. You’re already seeing her once a month. She loves money, so an extra date during her bday month will be more appreciated than some random, pricey gift. If you’re insistent on getting a gift, get a scented candle from Jo Malone or Diptyque for under $100. Those are always a hit with higher end providers.
