I’m not going to talk like I know what a sub in femdom is. I can’t really speak on it since I’ve never had the need to be a sub, and it’s really things like the post below that have me pushing further away from the role. In a post that has since been taken down, a domme was stating her opinion on the state of the fetish—or hobby, however you want to look at it—as it is right now. For whatever reason, the post is no longer there, and I’m thinking the subs didn’t agree with what was said, as once again we (as in clients) are being blamed.
If anything, this is a SWer getting her frustration out. Towards the end of her post, you can tell she’s being faced with a dilemma most SWers go through on a daily basis, which is the initial email. I’m sure she gets more than enough of these to warrant this post, though if it was received well I’m sure it would still be up. I believe this part makes sense and is something we probably should work on as a whole. What I’m more fixated on is the sentence prior. All I have to say to the plethora of reasonings she wrote about subs is: isn’t this the point of being a sub? At least some of it.
Forgive me if I’m wrong, and correct me if I am, aren’t subs supposed to be worshippers? Excuse the wording here; I don’t know if this is the correct term. Subs are supposed to be clingy. You’re supposed to give off that sense of desperation, at least in some sort of fashion. Obviously you’re playing a role, and this is something you enjoy getting some excitement out of. So, to see this has me thinking one of two things. The first being the domme is doing this as a way to degrade her subs, which is part of the plan. Or the second being she just wants to throw her opinion out in order to shit on subs not doing their job at all, or not doing it well. Either way, damned if you do and damned if you don’t.
To purposely call your subs out in the way that’s being done here seems counterproductive and unwarranted. When I look at this post, the domme is contradicting herself while at the same time throwing a tantrum. You want your subs to have an edge to them while also being obedient. You say your subs are too clingy, yet you’re a domme, and in some shape or form I believe those two go hand in hand. I should be seeing it, but I’m not.
Again, if someone wants to explain it to me, please do. I could be wrong about the relationship between a domme and a sub, with it being more complex. I just see this post as just another reason for us to be shitted on once again.
